O munic\u00edpio de Inha\u00fama, na regi\u00e3o central de Minas Gerais (MG), foi protagonista de uma situa\u00e7\u00e3o inusitada ap\u00f3s a apura\u00e7\u00e3o de votos das elei\u00e7\u00f5es deste domingo, 6. Os eleitores do munic\u00edpio mineiro, de 6.239 habitantes segundo o Censo 2022 do IBGE, deram exatamente a mesma quantidade de votos para os candidatos a prefeito Zula (Republicanos) e Carlinhos (Republicanos).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cada um deles recebeu 2.434 votos, o que os colocou em empate num\u00e9rico, de 50% dos votos v\u00e1lidos, uma vez que eram os \u00fanicos concorrentes ao cargo do Executivo municipal. A elei\u00e7\u00e3o na cidade, localizada a 88 quil\u00f4metros da capital Belo Horizonte (MG), teve 12,96% de absten\u00e7\u00e3o, 1,41% de votos brancos e 1,83% de votos nulos – o total foi de 5.031 votos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Apesar de casos como esse serem raros, a Justi\u00e7a Eleitoral prev\u00ea uma regra do que ser feito quando empates ocorrem. Conforme descreve o artigo 110 do C\u00f3digo Eleitoral, “em caso de empate, haver-se-\u00e1 por eleito o candidato mais idoso”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Como Carlinhos tem 46 anos, e Zula, 62, o candidato do Republicanos foi declarado eleito e assume a prefeitura mineira pelos pr\u00f3ximos quatro anos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
