Em uma a\u00e7\u00e3o conjunta com o 14\u00ba Batalh\u00e3o da Pol\u00edcia Militar, a Pol\u00edcia Federal deflagrou na manh\u00e3 desta quarta-feira (5\/2) a Opera\u00e7\u00e3o “Orient Express”, mirando uma organiza\u00e7\u00e3o criminosa envolvida em tr\u00e1fico de drogas e lavagem de dinheiro na cidade de Belo Oriente\/MG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ao longo da opera\u00e7\u00e3o, foram cumpridos 13 mandados de busca e apreens\u00e3o, al\u00e9m de 3 mandados de pris\u00e3o preventiva, <\/a>expedidos pela Vara \u00danica da Comarca de A\u00e7ucena. Como parte das medidas judiciais, tamb\u00e9m houve o sequestro de bens pertencentes aos investigados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A investiga\u00e7\u00e3o revelou um esquema sofisticado de oculta\u00e7\u00e3o de recursos ilegais, com o uso de \u201claranjas\u201d para dificultar o rastreamento financeiro. Segundo a Pol\u00edcia Federal, a quadrilha tamb\u00e9m mantinha rela\u00e7\u00f5es comerciais com indiv\u00edduos de outros estados, incluindo \u00e1reas de fronteira, o que refor\u00e7a suspeitas sobre uma rede de tr\u00e1fico interestadual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A opera\u00e7\u00e3o busca enfraquecer o grupo criminoso e interromper o fluxo financeiro il\u00edcito que sustenta suas atividades. “Esse tipo de a\u00e7\u00e3o coordenada \u00e9 fundamental para desarticular cadeias criminosas que afetam diretamente a seguran\u00e7a da popula\u00e7\u00e3o”, declarou um oficial envolvido na investiga\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Os suspeitos, cujas identidades n\u00e3o foram reveladas, poder\u00e3o responder pelos crimes de tr\u00e1fico de drogas e associa\u00e7\u00e3o criminosa. Se condenados, as penas podem ultrapassar 25 anos de reclus\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
