A taxa de desemprego no Brasil subiu para 7,0% no trimestre encerrado em mar\u00e7o de 2025, segundo dados divulgados nesta quarta-feira (30) pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estat\u00edstica (IBGE). O n\u00famero representa um aumento de 0,8 ponto percentual em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao trimestre anterior, encerrado em dezembro de 2024, quando a taxa foi de 6,1%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Apesar da alta, o \u00edndice segue abaixo dos 7,9% registrados no mesmo per\u00edodo de 2024. De acordo com o IBGE, essa continua sendo a menor taxa de desocupa\u00e7\u00e3o para o primeiro trimestre do ano desde o in\u00edcio da s\u00e9rie hist\u00f3rica da Pnad Cont\u00ednua, iniciada em 2012. O recorde anterior era de mar\u00e7o de 2014, com taxa de 7,2%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
O aumento da desocupa\u00e7\u00e3o no in\u00edcio de 2025 foi impulsionado pelo crescimento de 13,1% na popula\u00e7\u00e3o que procura emprego. Isso representa um acr\u00e9scimo de aproximadamente 891 mil pessoas em busca de trabalho em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao \u00faltimo trimestre de 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
