Mesmo com sintomas e a recomenda\u00e7\u00e3o de outros profissionais, o soro antiescorpi\u00f4nico n\u00e3o foi administrado \u2014 embora estivesse dispon\u00edvel na unidade. Segundo a investiga\u00e7\u00e3o, a m\u00e9dica optou por manter o menino em observa\u00e7\u00e3o e, em seguida, liber\u00e1-lo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preocupada com o estado da crian\u00e7a, a fam\u00edlia decidiu transferir o menino para Governador Valadares, a cerca de 54 quil\u00f4metros de dist\u00e2ncia, onde ele foi internado na UTI pedi\u00e1trica. O menino n\u00e3o resistiu e morreu no dia seguinte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O caso foi investigado ao longo dos \u00faltimos meses. A Pol\u00edcia Civil ouviu testemunhas, colheu documentos e realizou per\u00edcias t\u00e9cnicas. O laudo do Instituto M\u00e9dico-Legal (IML) confirmou que a morte foi provocada pela picada e apontou neglig\u00eancia m\u00e9dica no atendimento inicial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A corpora\u00e7\u00e3o afirmou que a conduta da m\u00e9dica contrariou protocolos do Minist\u00e9rio da Sa\u00fade e desconsiderou a vulnerabilidade da v\u00edtima.
