\u00c9 isso o que mostra um recente estudo liderado pelo IPAM (Instituto de Pesquisa Ambiental da Amaz\u00f4nia) e publicado na revista cient\u00edfica “Annual Review of Environment and Resources” nesta semana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A pesquisa indica que n\u00e3o h\u00e1 evid\u00eancia de um \u00fanico ponto de n\u00e3o retorno clim\u00e1tico para todo o bioma, mas alerta que m\u00faltiplos colapsos regionais j\u00e1 se desenham, impulsionados pela combina\u00e7\u00e3o de desmatamento, queimadas, perda de fauna, fragmenta\u00e7\u00e3o e mudan\u00e7as no regime de chuvas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
O estudo tamb\u00e9m chama aten\u00e7\u00e3o para o chamado \u201cefeito martelo\u201d, que descreve a press\u00e3o direta e constante provocada por a\u00e7\u00f5es humanas como desmatamento, queimadas, explora\u00e7\u00e3o madeireira, fragmenta\u00e7\u00e3o e perda de fauna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Diferente de um colapso clim\u00e1tico irrevers\u00edvel, esse processo ainda pode ser contido, desde que as causas sejam enfrentadas de forma imediata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Essa press\u00e3o, no entanto, n\u00e3o para de crescer. Entre 2024 e 2025, a degrada\u00e7\u00e3o florestal aumentou 497% em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao ano anterior, atingindo mais de 36 mil km\u00b2, impulsionada principalmente por inc\u00eandios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No mesmo per\u00edodo, o desmatamento subiu 4%, chegando a 4.495 km\u00b2. O fogo sozinho respondeu por 15% da perda total da floresta no per\u00edodo \u2014 quase o dobro do pico registrado em 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
