A Pol\u00edcia Civil e a Companhia de Saneamento de Minas Gerais (Copasa) realizaram, nesta ter\u00e7a-feira (28), uma opera\u00e7\u00e3o para combater o furto de \u00e1gua em Simon\u00e9sia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Batizada de Opera\u00e7\u00e3o \u00c1gua Limpa, a a\u00e7\u00e3o teve como objetivo fiscalizar e reprimir liga\u00e7\u00f5es clandestinas, conhecidas popularmente como \u201cgatos\u201d, em diversos bairros da cidade. De acordo com a PCMG, a pr\u00e1tica \u00e9 considerada crime de furto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Durante a opera\u00e7\u00e3o, foram identificados v\u00e1rios im\u00f3veis residenciais e comerciais com irregularidades. A per\u00edcia da Pol\u00edcia Civil acompanhou as equipes e confirmou os desvios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Segundo os investigadores, o furto de \u00e1gua, al\u00e9m de ilegal, compromete o fornecimento e causa preju\u00edzos \u00e0 coletividade, j\u00e1 que as perdas acabam sendo repassadas aos consumidores regulares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Al\u00e9m das a\u00e7\u00f5es de fiscaliza\u00e7\u00e3o, a opera\u00e7\u00e3o incluiu um trabalho educativo junto a moradores e comerciantes, refor\u00e7ando a import\u00e2ncia de manter as liga\u00e7\u00f5es de \u00e1gua regularizadas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Um funcion\u00e1rio da Copasa est\u00e1 sob investiga\u00e7\u00e3o por poss\u00edvel envolvimento nas fraudes. As apura\u00e7\u00f5es v\u00e3o continuam para identificar outros respons\u00e1veis e dimensionar o preju\u00edzo causado ao sistema de abastecimento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Pol\u00edcia Civil destacou que a a\u00e7\u00e3o faz parte do esfor\u00e7o conjunto entre institui\u00e7\u00f5es p\u00fablicas para coibir pr\u00e1ticas il\u00edcitas e garantir o uso justo e sustent\u00e1vel dos servi\u00e7os essenciais.
