O Instituto Nacional de Meteorologia (INMET) emitiu um alerta vermelho de \u201cgrande perigo\u201d para o acumulado de chuvas em 21 cidades do Leste de Minas Gerais, entre elas Caratinga, um dos principais polos urbanos da nossa regi\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
O alerta, que representa o n\u00edvel m\u00e1ximo de severidade, entrou em vigor nesta quinta-feira (22) e segue v\u00e1lido at\u00e9 \u00e0s 00h de s\u00e1bado (24). Segundo o INMET, esse tipo de aviso \u00e9 emitido quando h\u00e1 risco elevado \u00e0 integridade f\u00edsica e \u00e0 vida da popula\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Para Caratinga, a previs\u00e3o \u00e9 de chuvas intensas, com volumes que podem superar 60 mil\u00edmetros por hora ou ultrapassar 100 mil\u00edmetros em um \u00fanico dia. Esse cen\u00e1rio aumenta consideravelmente o risco de alagamentos em \u00e1reas urbanas, enxurradas, deslizamentos de terra e transbordamento de cursos d\u2019\u00e1gua, especialmente em bairros situados em regi\u00f5es de encosta ou pr\u00f3ximos a c\u00f3rregos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
O INMET refor\u00e7a que a popula\u00e7\u00e3o deve evitar \u00e1reas alagadas, n\u00e3o enfrentar enxurradas, redobrar a aten\u00e7\u00e3o em vias urbanas e estradas e acompanhar comunicados da Defesa Civil e dos \u00f3rg\u00e3os oficiais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Al\u00e9m de Caratinga, o alerta vermelho tamb\u00e9m inclui munic\u00edpios vizinhos como Bom Jesus do Galho, Santa Rita de Minas, C\u00f3rrego Novo, Santa B\u00e1rbara do Leste e Simon\u00e9sia, o que refor\u00e7a a necessidade de aten\u00e7\u00e3o em toda a microrregi\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
