Foi identificado como Ant\u00f4nio Evangelista Medeiros, de 58 anos, conhecido como \u201cZero Meia\u201d, o ciclista que morreu atropelado na tarde desta ter\u00e7a-feira (17) na BR-116, na altura do km 510, j\u00e1 pr\u00f3ximo ao munic\u00edpio de Ubaporanga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Segundo informa\u00e7\u00f5es da Pol\u00edcia Rodovi\u00e1ria Federal (PRF), a v\u00edtima pedalava pelo acostamento quando foi violentamente atingida por um Jeep Renegade que seguia na mesma dire\u00e7\u00e3o. Com o impacto, a bicicleta foi arremessada para a vegeta\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0s margens da rodovia e Ant\u00f4nio morreu ainda no local.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
O motorista do ve\u00edculo realizou o teste do baf\u00f4metro, que n\u00e3o apontou ingest\u00e3o de \u00e1lcool. As demais provid\u00eancias legais foram adotadas no local do acidente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ap\u00f3s os trabalhos da per\u00edcia, o corpo foi removido e encaminhado ao Instituto M\u00e9dico Legal (IML) de Caratinga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ant\u00f4nio era conhecido na regi\u00e3o e costumava pedalar por longas dist\u00e2ncias, tendo o ciclismo como pr\u00e1tica esportiva frequente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
